Hazardous Waste Management

Hazardous Waste Management

Supporting our asbestos, contaminated soil and PFAS treatment capabilities, we offer extensive hazardous waste management services. Hazardous materials (HAZMAT) are any substances that because of their chemical, physical or biological properties can cause harm to people, property or the environment, and are classified as either Hazardous Waste or Dangerous Goods.

As regulation catches up with industry, the large-scale management of uncontrolled hazardous waste stockpiles and illegal burials is a developing market. We have been involved in some of Australia’s largest Hazardous Waste and Dangerous Goods clean ups, including:

  • Fire-damaged chemical storage warehouses
  • Radiological waste dumps
  • Dangerous goods waste burials
  • Legacy wartime remnants
  • Abandoned dangerous goods chemical stores
  • E-waste fires
  • Abandoned liquid waste treatment facilities
  • Battery recycling facility fires
  • Acetylene cylinder decommissioning
  • Asbestos and lead paint fires

We have developed comprehensive, regulator-endorsed risk assessment procedures to ensure our approach to managing the high-risk works associated with these projects is calculated, considered and industry-leading. We have been engaged directly by the health and safety, and environmental regulators across numerous hazardous waste projects, evident of our trust across the sector.
