Enviropacific has recently executed a contract with MAB Corporation for the remediation of the former Brompton Gasworks site in central Adelaide, making it our 21st major gasworks project.
As with our recently completed and award-winning Fitzroy Gasworks project in Melbourne, this project will ultimately see a new community emerge from a legacy contaminated site, creating value from a dormant brownfield site with limited current use. MAB will be constructing a master planned community, opening up more than 800 new homes, a hotel, employment hub and restoration of landmark heritage structures.
As quoted by MAB Chief Operating Officer David Hall, “this unique opportunity for urban renewal in Adelaide is of both city significance and heritage significance, and we understand the importance of the project for South Australia.”
Enviropacific is proud to be delivering another city-changing environmental remediation project and ensuring we are living our purpose of preventing, stopping and reversing environmental damage to enhance environments and create safer, sustainable communities.
Jared Roberts, VIC/SA Regional Manager, says “We have operated an office in Adelaide for 15 years, and with our local team of more than 40 staff, we look forward to engaging with local suppliers and subcontractors to support the delivery of the remediation project.”
