Women in Engineering - Peri Timo

This month we celebrate Peri Timo, our Site Engineer
from QLD/NT/WA Remediation team who took up a
career in environmental engineering as she found it
“challenging and hands-on”.

She acknowledges the “great team environment at Enviropacific” and loves the fact that her role enables her to contribute to society by “looking after the environment”.

Who or what inspired you to take up a career in engineering?

Most of my relatives are Mining Engineers. I felt it natural for me to opt into studying Engineering at university and decided to pursue a career in Environmental and Civil Engineering.

What attracted you to Enviropacific?

The diversity of projects! Additionally, I feel a great sense of purpose working alongside a team committed to a clearer, safer and better environment.

What do you enjoy most about working here?

The great team environment! I also appreciate and value the level of mentorship, variety of projects and opportunities to upskill and learn.

Tell us a bit about your role and what you looking forward to working on?

The project I have enjoyed working on the most, to date, would be the QAL Pond Decommissioning Project at the Coolangatta Airport. As a Site Engineer, my role has been to support both the Site Manager and Project Manager in the continual delivery of this project. Through our cohesive teamwork, we continue to act as problem solvers to find the best-fit solution to achieve success.
