The CSIRO’s Circular Economy road map has been released as part of the Federal Government’s commitment to reduce total waste generated in Australia by 10% per person by 2030.
The road map is part of switching the focus from waste management to a circular economy and aiming to achieve an 80 percent average resource recovery rate from all waste streams.
Providing for beneficial reuse and recovery of waste is core to who we are at Enviropacific: our purpose is to stop, prevent and reverse environmental damage.
While the report focuses on plastics, glass, paper and tyres it makes the point that materials that are kept in circulation (ie for beneficial reuse) are “valuable twice over”.
Our environmentally focused services – which cover major infrastructure and smaller bespoke remediation projects – ensure that we can help our clients do their part to support the circular economy:
- Our remediation expertise & capability maximises the diversion of waste from landfill and on-site reuse and recycling of materials
- Our SOLVE thermal treatment facility destroys highly toxic contaminants and generates additional recovery of useful ‘waste’
- Our Water Treatment expertise & capability increases the beneficial reuse of waste, ground and drinking water
At Enviropacific, we are committed to delivering cost-effective and sustainable solutions that will make our environments and communities safer and healthier.
