Another first for Enviropacific

Enviropacific has achieved what’s believed to be an Australian first which will result in significant time and cost savings for future remediation work.

Iconic white tent structures, or Odour Control Enclosures (OCEs), have been used at remediation sites across the country, including the Fitzroy Gasworks in Melbourne.

OCEs are important for protecting the surrounding environment and communities – they contain and control odorous vapours that are released during excavation work.

For the first time, we have moved an entire OCE structure using crane lifts, while rolling our 48m wide structure on rails into a new location on the Fitzroy site, saving valuable time and costs on this important remediation project.

It generally takes several weeks to move the structures from one position on a site to another because – up until now – they need to be disassembled and then reassembled at its new location.

The new capability is another reason why Enviropacific continues to be the national leader in gasworks remediation and site remediation more broadly.

The breadth of experience and knowledge, and the access to a range of technologies – including in-situ and ex-situ treatment via enhanced bioremediation, stabilisation and immobilisation, thermal destruction, and/or direct disposal – means that Enviropacific can deliver smart cost effective solutions on remediation projects no matter the size or location.
