Having inherited a partially developed site with truck canopy & surrounding pavements, the Cadway teams brief was to consolidate these existing elements & the informed functional program, into a cohesive & successful fuel retail & dining facility within the beautiful rural context of Queensland’s Scenic Rim Shire.

Creating high quality dining, amenity & parking facilities were critical aspects of the brief for both passing travellers & truckers alike. While attending to the detailed design of both the site & building, Cadway were also engaged by the principal tenant to create a new stand-alone convenience store which would carefully integrate the functionality of a convenience store with the warmth & welcoming aspect of a contemporary café/diner.

This convenience store design complemented the overarching architectural theme of the development & brought together what has been a highly successful functional yet inviting rural roadhouse.
